More Adventures with Just the Two

This week while the older two are at scout camp, Christian and I have had fun going on little adventures every day.  One day we visited the Detroit river and the Riverwalk area again.  We haven't been there since covid and Christian was anxious to play around on the rocks again.  The weather was quite humid and hot, but thanks to the fountain, the boys didn't mind!  I really thought Peter would be a bit hesitant to dunk himself in such cold water, but he walked right up to it and then right in without any prompting.  Such a funny kid.  He would have spent all day there; his diaper becoming a giant, heavy balloon, but we wanted to explore some more.  Sadly the Renaissance Center is still closed to the public, but the river and the big boats were excitement enough.  It was a great afternoon.

Peter still makes his "smile" face for the camera:

Christian still can't get over the fact that that's Canada right there.

The water was colder than Christian expected.

Christian was a bit disappointed that the Renaissance Center was closed.  I was too, but honestly, I think it was better that I didn't take my two sopping wet boys in there.
